The story
Harry Gruyaert trained in photography and cinema before developing a body of work in which colour plays a structuring role. He photographs his native Belgium and many other places, including Morocco. In TV Shots, he worked from the television screen. His images favour encounters between light, surfaces and silhouettes without turning every scene into an anecdote.

Look for how one colour responds to another at a distance. Then observe the shadows and surfaces that divide the space into several planes.
