The story

Filipina photographer and author Xyza Cruz Bacani worked for nearly a decade as a domestic worker in Hong Kong. Her documentary practice focuses on less visible stories and the connections between migration, human rights and climate change. Based in New York according to her agency, she is the author of We Are Like Air. Her career gives a central place to people who travel, work and live between several places.
