The story
Cristina García Rodero first trained in painting before undertaking a long investigation of festivals, beliefs and rituals. España oculta, published in 1989, brings together a major part of her work in Spain. She continued these explorations in other countries. Physical proximity to participants and the density of the frame give a central role to gestures and relationships between people.
